behrotest® InKjel Infra-red Rapid Digestors
InKjel InKjel rapid Kjeldahl digestors with direct sample
heating by infra-red radiation (1,500 W).
| Configurations: |
6 x 250 ml sample vessels |
| 12 x 250 ml sample vessels |
| 4 x 500 ml sample vessels |
| 4 x 750 ml sample vessels |
The 500 and 750 ml behrotest® InKjel units find application
in water and wastewater analysis
The user can switch from one vessel size to another simply by replacing
the vessels, vessel frame and fume manifold.
For InKjel Models 1225 P, 450 P and 475 P, the sample capacity can be
doubled at modest price by addition of a cost-effective PE slave module,
which is operated by the controller located in the InKjel P.
There are two behrotest® InKjel product groups::
InKjel
M |
Manual heating power control |
InKjel
P |
Microprocessor control. Can store up to 99 digestion
programs, each consisting of up to 10 power level-time intervals. |
|
behr Kjeldahl Distillation Units
behr steam distillation units for Kjeldahl distillation accept
InKjel M and P digestion vessels and are thus virtually indispensable
for completion of the Kjeldahl procedure. The three models appear identical,
but differ in levels of automation and operating convenience.
S 1 |
Steam distillation unit, manual operation |
S
2 |
Steam distillation unit, programmable |
S
3 |
Steam distillation unit with automatic addition of H2O
and NaOH. Dist. time 2-3 min. |
S 4 |
Steam distillation unit with fully automatic reagent
addition and sample draining. Stores 99 programs. Dist. Time 2-3 min. |
S 5 |
Steam distillation unit, fully automatic, accepts external
titrator (e.g. TB 1) |
Exemplary safety during steam distillation
behr steam distillation units are not only efficient
and reliable partners in everyday laboratory work; the users
safety was also an essential concern during the development and
design of the devices.
Therefore, all steam distillation units have
- a circuit breaker as a main power switch which
is automatically activated in the event of overload and short
circuit
- a mechanical pressure-relief safety valve to
prevent too much pressure building up in the steam generator
- vessel monitoring (distillation can only take
place if a vessel is inserted)
- a resettable excess temperature thermostat (in
the event of insufficient water in the steam generator)
- cooling circuit monitoring by means of pressure
switches
- temperature-controlled water vapour heating-up
phase and pressure control by means of a solenoid valve
The S2, S 3, S 4 and S 5 steam distillation units
also have
- automatic heating current monitoring of the steam
generator
