behrotest® Elution Equipment for Evaluating the Leach-out Characteristics of Mineral Samples (Percolation Method)

The behrotest® percolation apparatus for evaluating the leach-out behaviour of mineral materials complies with the all criteria formulated by the German road and transport research society. Determinations can be performed simultaneously in both of two columns. A peristaltic pump sprinkles deionized water over the sample. A membrane pump is used to provide the vacuum for the drying phase. The user simply sets the desired durations for the sprinkling and drying phases on the control panel, after which the the determination runs automatically.

The behrotest® PKE 2/350 percolation apparatus for evaluating the leach-out behaviour of mineral samples includes a sturdy stand as well as:

• 2 percolation columns,
• 2 modules (one for each column) for uniformly distributing the water over the sample cross-section,
• 2 eluate vessels, 10 liter, with drain spigot,
• 2 peristaltic pumps for the water sprinkling,
• Membrane vacuum pump for simulation of dry periods.

A 30 l reservoir for sprinkling water, including a riser tube having connections for both peristaltic pumps, completes the system.
