The behr C 30 IRF Coulometric Analyzer for the Determination of Carbon in Solid, Semi-solid and Liquid Samples

behr C 30 IRF

Coulometric analyzer for the determination of carbon in aqueous, semi-solid and solid samples for example, the analysis

  • of organic carbon in exhaust gas samples collected by the VDI 3481 adsorption method,
  • of diesel emissions by the DFG method (automatic determination of both organic and elemental carbon in the context of workplace environmental health),
  • of organic materials in fine particulates (German diesel soot determination method no. ZH 1/120.44) and
  • TC, TIC, TOC in solid, semi-solid and liquid samples.

The analyzer consists of

  • a programmable infra-red furnace plus downstream resistance furnaces for combustion completion and interferant removal,
  • a coulometric titration cell and associated electronics,
  • software operating under Windows.

Optionally available:

  • PC for operating the analyzer and storage of analysis data,
  • balance for determining sample weight with automatic data transfer to the PC.

Advantages of the behr C 30 IRF:

  • Highest precision
  • Linear over the entire analytical range
  • Absolute method

Advantages of the combination furnace:

  • Programmable
  • Patent pending ”Heat Pipes” provide cooling without water consumption
  • Downstream resistance furnaces insure total sample combustion and removal of interferants
